Welcome to my nightmare!

Published October 17, 2012 by vfdpixie

It all started when I was a wee pixie, sitting in my mother’s lap, bright eyes illuminated by the t.v.  I’m refering to a picture of myself snuggling with mama in front of our 1971 television.  I’m pretty certain that my late, great mother told me I wouldn’t sleep that night, so we watched some cheesy late night horror movie.  That, I believe, was the beginning of the end.  I come from a pretty religious family, so it’s kind of weird that they would let their 3 young daughters watch horror movies.  Which probably explains the large tattoos on my back and my lifelong obsession with all things horror, fantasy and sci-fi.  Oh, and monsters.  If there aren’t any monsters involved, I ain’t watchin’!  but I digress…

I write this blog because I love horror.  I grew up with a record of Brothers Grimm fairy tales and listened to it over and over again.  I almost wore that thing out listening to my favorite tale The Juniper Tree.  I love reading horror novels, and I can’t get through the week without watching a horror movie, be it from my own collection or something new I’ve come across.  So I present to you Rosemary’s Pixie, a place for my thoughts and reviews on movies that have left an impression on me, be it good or bad or whatever.  I hope you like what I have to say, and if you don’t, I completely understand.  Afer all, it’s a free country.  But I won’t care, really.  So stay tuned, as I hunker down and avoid all social contact, grab my stack of dvds, and let the pixie wheels start turning in my head…
